Wednesday Whinge: New Computer Needed

Paid my 'computer specialists' a visit just then - they say the motherboard on the 'puter is wrecked and there's not enough storage space for new stuff.

They say the motherboard and other parts need to be replaced.  It would cost me dearly, like over $300 dearly.  I don't want to pay that much only for it to break down like that again.

As a graphic designer and now for animations and video editing, I would have to buy something that requires greater storage space and processing speed.  What brands are most suitable for this, I don't know.

Confused as heck right now because if I am to benefit from the EOFY period (2 more nights) then I have to make a decision because I think tomorrow is the last night I have to do this.

However, I really need something that will last me for a long time and I want to be sure I am making the right decision for something that meets my requirements for graphic design and for video editing and animation.  While it would be nice to snap up a bargain, I would rather think about the long term.

So yeah, decisions, decisions!!!
