I found Vivid Sydney a bit lackluster last year: the Opera House (usually the Centrepiece of Sydney in general and Vivid / Circular Quay in particular) looked very jaded and not very colourful.
Likewise with Walsh Bay (see below) and Central Station (see above - no projections, just pink and purple lights).
I am not even sure that this year they have anything happening in Walsh Bay this year (no walking under the bridge like before).
However this year, they have brought back displays at Martin Place and the Argyle Cut (where you make your way to Barangaroo). I haven't been to Martin Place for a long time so it would be interesting so see what it's like now.
Anyhow, here's some pictures of this year's with a silent disco.
