This would make a good source of inspiration: Everything Octopus,
Also, found this link to the Dumbo Octopus: this is really called the Finned Octopus, but looks like it has big ears like Dumbo the Elephant (and some people think Tony Abbot is a big of a 'dumbo' as well, and he has big ears also) :)
